Fox Timber


Derek Fox Timber based in Longridge and Chorley provide timber and associated products to the trade & retail marketplaces.  On our first meeting in 2017 it was established that their brochure style web site was out of date.  Falling sales and margins needed to be rectified.


With the Directors we formulated a marketing plan which would modernise their business, increase turnover, margins and profitability.  The plan identified that they required a new brand, new Ecommerce enabled web site and a marketing campaign.  These activities would allow new sales to be generated for trade, but also to increase market share of retail customers.  The branding was developed and new signage placed on company vehicles and depots.  The web site build focussed on product offerings and attracted new sales not only via the web site, but also via telephone sales and collections.  The Ecommerce platform allowed their complex delivery variables to be calculated automatically reducing human error.  The system also integrates directly into Xero accounts, so web sales/ebay sales/telesales and collected sales can all be processed within the one system.  A marketing campaign runs alongside the web site.  The campaign consists of search marketing, Pay Per Click, Email marketing with offline marketing activities as required.  The combination of the Ecommerce web site and the Marketing Campaign has led to profits increasing year on year.
